FFK Reactivates Women’s Football Committee to Drive Further Growth and Development

Willemstad, Curaçao – The Curaçao Football Federation (Federashon Futbòl Kòrsou – FFK) is reactivating its Women’s Football Committee as part of its strategy to further develop, professionalize, and achieve sustainable growth in women’s and girls’ football in Curaçao.

The committee will consist of Hassnah Elhage, Jadira Laaf, and Fabi Constansia. Together, they will focus on implementing the women’s and girls’ football strategy, identifying development opportunities, and strengthening national and international partnerships.

Through the reactivation of the committee, FFK aims to strengthen the implementation of its strategic objectives, pursue new development opportunities, and further enhance the position of women’s football within Curaçao’s football community.

The committee’s work will focus on several strategic areas:

• Strategy and implementation: supporting the continued development and implementation of the women’s and girls’ football strategy, including monitoring progress and results.
• National and international fundraising: identifying and pursuing funding opportunities through FIFA, CONCACAF, national partners, and other relevant organizations.
• Commercial activation: developing commercial opportunities, sponsorship activities, and strategic partnerships that contribute to the sustainable development of women’s football.
• Women’s Development: exploring opportunities in education, talent development, knowledge exchange, and international cooperation, not only in the Netherlands but also across the Caribbean, the wider region, and the United States.
• Visibility and growth: increasing the visibility of women’s football and encouraging more girls and women to participate in the sport.

Investing in Sustainable Development

A key priority will be developing projects that align with FFK’s strategic objectives and may qualify for national and international funding. The federation also aims to strengthen cooperation with government institutions, businesses, football organizations, and other relevant partners.

By combining strategic development with commercial initiatives, international cooperation, and targeted communications, FFK aims to create new opportunities for the continued growth of women’s and girls’ football in Curaçao.

The committee will translate its areas of focus into concrete projects and activities. Progress and results will be monitored to support the implementation of the strategy.
