The road to Qatar starts with St. Vincent

On Monday, March 22, the Curaçao National Men’s Team commences an intense week of training for the CONCACAF Qualifiers from March 24 to 31. Our recent successes of winning the Caribbean Cup and making it to the quarter finals of the Gold Cup, have created the momentum to go for the FIFA World Cup 2022. Yet the road to Qatar is not an easy one. First, we have to beat St. Vincent & The Grenadines and Cuba in the pre-qualifiers; then we must make it through the second round and finally play against such teams as Canada and the USA in our FIFA qualifying pool of eight, out of which only three will make it to Qatar. But with legendary coach Guus Hiddink at the helm, the energy, confidence and ambitions are through the roof. This has been a long time coming and we have invested a lot in making it this far. We can do this… and we will!
