U-17 wins first match in CONCACAF Championship

The Curacao U-17 selection is in Panama to compete in the CONCACAF U-17 Championship 2017. Curacao is placed in Group C with host Panama, Honduras and Haiti.

The Curacao team won their opening match against Haiti with a score of 1-0. Nathan Bernadina scored the winning goal in the 43rd minute. Curacao’s next match is on April 24 against Honduras en the final match of Group C is against Panama on April 27.

Best two of all three groups will progress into the next round, in which the qualifiers for FIFA U-17 World Cup 2017 and the finalists of the CONCACAF U-17 Championship will be determined.

De Curaçao selection consists of the following players: Kevin Juliana, Danèl Rosa, Quinton Burk, Alexander Suart, Ayodele Kwidama, Roderick Bolijn, Sellfrine Pieters, Jared Tyrol, Shurendric Fransinet, Richajier Oleana, Quintin Rustveld, Nathan Bernadina, Luchenthly Vrutaal, Ronathan Willems, Daveraux Cicilia, Sharrion Pietersz, Rogier Bazoer, Angérick Dorothea, Quincy Does en Brian Albertus. Technical director Ludwig Alberto is assisted by Reynolds Mercera. Hubert Isenia is the representative of the FFK board in Panama.
