The friendly match between Curacao and Canada in Montreal ended in a 2-1 victory for Canada. TD Remko Bicentini started the game with Reangelo Janga as central forward  and Jarchino Antonia, Elson Hooi and Gevaro Nepomuceno in the forward positions. Jeremy de Nooijer and captain Leandro Bacuna played  midfield and  Gillian Justiana, Darryl Lachman, Quentin Jakoba and Cuco Martina as defense for goalkeeper Eloy Room.
The Curaçao team started the match energetically and created a number of opportunities but after 30 minutes Canada managed to put more pressure on the game prompting keeper Room into action a couple of times. Defender Jakoba twice cleared a dangerous situation inside the box. In de 42nd minute, Janga scored 1-0 for Curacao but .just 2 minutes later  Canada’s Manjrekar James scored in the rebound of a free kick.
After the halftime break, Reangelo Janga had been replaced by Caribbean Cup topscorer Felitciano Zschusschen and Gino van Kessel took Jarchinio Antonia’s place, who like Zschusschen scored 7 goals in the Caribbean Cup matches. In de 70th minute Bicentini brought Kemi Agustien  in the game for Elson Hooi and 2 minutes Shanon Carmelia for Leandro Bacuna. Canada kept putting pressure on the Curacao defense and again Room had to work hard to keep his goal clean. In the final phase Ayrton Statie replaced Gevaro Nepomuceno.
In the somewhat messy final phase of the match Canada was awarded a penalty, but Junior Hoilett hit the goalpost. Anthony Jackson-Hamel scored 2-1 in the rebound.
Next stop for the Curacao team is a friendly against Nicaragua at home in the Subt-stadium on June 17.
